Build Your Kopi
Kopitiam ordering is its own little language. Tap through it once and you'll never hesitate at the counter again.
Anatomy of a Nasi Lemak
Seven things on one plate, each doing a different job. This is what you're actually eating.

- 1
Nasi santan
Coconut rice
Steamed with coconut milk, pandan and a little ginger. The reason it is called nasi lemak at all.
- 2
Ayam goreng berempah
Spiced fried chicken
Marinated in turmeric and spice, fried with the crisp bits left on.
- 3
Sambal
Chilli paste
Slow-cooked shallot, chilli and tamarind. Sweet, then hot.
- 4
Ikan bilis
Fried anchovies
Fried until they snap. The salt on the plate.
- 5
Kacang
Roasted peanuts
There for the crunch, and to take the edge off the sambal.
- 6
Telur
Boiled egg
Halved, and always there.
- 7
Timun
Cucumber
Cold and plain on purpose — it resets your mouth between bites.

Tried this new spot in PJ for brunch. Roti bakar was slightly dry, but the fried rice was nice. Nasi lemak ayam goreng was acceptable. The ambience is quiet and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to dine. A good new option to have around the PJ area.
